大家都知道曼德拉是諾貝爾和平獎的得主，他獲得這個獎項的原因，主要是因為他用一個和平的方式，終結了南非白人政權的種族隔離政策。除此之外，其實更加值得我們當今世界學習的，是在他當權後提倡的一種大和解的精神，好強調不願意再見到任何的種族仇恨，特別希望黑人政府於當權後，不需要迫害以前白人的掌權派，這種精神是相當崇高的。甚至很多­的黨友及他的繼任人也未必能做到。這個所謂大和解，其實不是一件虛無飄渺的事。如在他當政的時候，提倡彩虹精神，利用文化、體育等等的手段向全國灌輸這個意識。如果其他國­家、其他的民族都可以效法這個精神，世界才可以一步一步地邁向大同。如果我們香港也可以學習這個情懷，亦可以配合曼德拉先生這一個崇高的意境。

Hong Kong is a Chinese-dominated community, but we also have numerous ethnic minorities living in our society. Sometimes, we do not really know what are their needs. If we have 67 minutes, we should spend some time to understand their lives, especially South Asians and Africans, how do they integrate into our community, what are their difficulties,etc. try to understand their real lives in this Chinese community. I believe this is exactly what Hong Kong people can do, to pay more attention towards our world.  Let’s start with understanding their backgrounds, then expand this act towards other countries and regions around the world.
