The International Mandela Day initiative involves citizens pledging to volunteer 67 minutes of their time engaged in worthwhile causes.

Voluntary and Community Organisations, charities and those alike would identity volunteering opportunities e.g. reading to the elderly, helping them with outreach work or their cultural programs and citizens would have the opportunity to pledge 67 minutes of their time to carry out specific tasks.

    關於活動 About:

    The Consulate-General of South Africa will visit kids at Kindergarten in honour of Mandela.

    We chose St Teresa Kindergarten, a nonprofit school aimed at new immigrant children in Tai Kok Tsui area, located about 15 minutes walk from Olympic MTR Station, at 44 Tai Tsun St, Tai Kok Tsui.

    We will serve every Saturday 10am for an hour each.

    The kids are aged between 3 to 5 and will likely stay in the same school for next couple years. We intend to build this team as steady as possible so these youngsters gain the benefit from the stable presence of our volunteers, which means the same group of volunteers showing up regularly, not new faces every week.

    Your involvement is important to bring fresh blood and ideas to this group. Please rsvp but ensure you will turn up. Habitual no shows will be removed from the Volunteer Meetup Group.
