這67分鐘只是一個開始。不論是個人還是團體，就由小小的行動開始。小至給老人讀報、減少用水、捐贈你的舊書到學校圖書館等；大至發起一些義工活動，為更多人提供參與社區服務的機會。

The International Mandela Day initiative involves citizens pledging to volunteer 67 minutes of their time engaged in worthwhile causes.

Voluntary and Community Organisations, charities and those alike would identity volunteering opportunities e.g. reading to the elderly, helping them with outreach work or their cultural programs and citizens would have the opportunity to pledge 67 minutes of their time to carry out specific tasks.

It’s in your hands to make a difference.

    關於活動 About:

    Too often people forget the elderly who have a wealth of experience, wisdom and often, an interesting story to tell.

    SAAHK will take the Nelson Mandela Celebration to the China Coast Community, a unique Care and Attention Home that provides residential care for the English speaking elderly who have financial difficulties. Residents have spent a significant period of their lives in Hong Kong or the Far East and their life-stories can help us understand more about the history of where we live.

    This wonderful community of Elders has asked SAAHK for help in arranging an afternoon of entertainment and a tasty, barbecued meal that is a rare treat.  SAAHK have arranged to bring in the Christian Action drumming troupe to entertain everyone and are planning to ‘braai’ for about 30-40 people.

    SAAHK members will bring fun and laughter to the elderly at the China Coast Community through the tastes and rhythms of Africa.
