大家知不知道我在做什麼， 我在打字。 為什麼？ 我有很多的字要打。 來讓我看看我要打多少個字。 以我平均一分鐘打30個字來計算， 我打了2,010個字。 為什麼是2,010？ 因為我剛剛用了67分鐘去完成。 67分鐘是曼德拉日的宗旨， 曼德拉先生一生用了67年去改變南非的人權狀況， 所以曼德拉日便以67分鐘為本， 號召大家用自己的一對手去改善社會， 讓這個社會變得更美好。 哪麼我會用我的雙手做什麼？ 我會做我最喜歡的事， 那就是寫作。我的寫作有什麼特別？ 7月18日曼德拉日其實是曼德拉先生的生日， 首先要祝他生日快樂， 長命百歲 ； 這一天也是個極有意義的一天， 因為(香港)書展也將於那一天舉行。 今年的書展我將會推出兩本新書， 就是秘魯和巴西， 是較早前有關墨西哥.古巴的續集。 這本書如何改變這個社會？ 它除了是鼓勵大家到一些較落後的地區如秘魯和巴西旅行以外，這本書的所有銷售收益是捐給小母牛的。 小母牛能如何改變這個世界？ 這個機構本身並非把錢捐給有需要的人 ， 而是把牛、羊等牲畜捐給貧農， 改善他們的生活， 讓其得以持續發展 。 我已支持了他們三年， 我把我的稿費和版權收益捐給小母牛， 至今已捐了五十多萬 ， 捐到內地去購買牲畜， 改善農民的生活。 正如曼德拉先生一樣 ， 去作出改變 ， 用自己的一對手。 希望大家能夠在7月18日支持曼德拉日， 用自己的一雙手去改變社會 。
Do you know what I am doing? I am typing. Why? Because I have a lot to type. Let’s see how many words I have typed. With my typing pace at an average of 30 words per minute, I have typed 2,010 words. Why 2,010? As I just used 67 minutes to complete it .The 67 minutes is a signature figure for Mandela Day . Mr Mandela gave 67 years of his life fighting for the rights of humanity in South Africa . So on Mandela Day, we are asking everyone to give 67 minutes of their time, use their hands to create a better world . So what will I do with my hands? I will do something I love the most- writing. What’s special about my writing? The 18 July is actually the date Mr. Mandela was born ,which is also the kick-off date for Hong Kong Book Fair. This year I will introduce two new books – Peru and Brazil, which come after my previous book – Mexico‧Cuba. How can these books help creating a better world? Apart from encouraging everyone to travel and explore these less developed countries, profits generated from the sales of the books will be donated to Heifer. How does Heifer change the world? Heifer is a very special ngo which does not give out money directly to the needy people, but buying them cattle, sheep and other livestocks in order to improve their living in a sustainable way.I have supported them for three years already. I donated the royalties and copyright income of my books to Heifer. So far I have donated more than half a million to them. Like what Mr. Mandela did – to use your hands and make a change.
